Life and pondering the merits of a NO REFUND CULTURE
What’s the point of this blog?
Hi there – thanks for reading. Now this is a big question, especially if you are:
- My partner who has to endure my constant laptop keyboard taping of an evening
- My friends when I suddenly start taping away on my CrackBlackberry iPhone when I have a moment of inspiration
- My colleagues when I say “oh yes, that’s a great topic for the blog”
- Deciding whether to add this blog to your reader or RSS feed or leave a comment
So let me answer the question in three sections:
REASON ONE:
Personal enjoyment
I write this blog because I enjoy doing it. I like to write in ‘Crump’ speak – I spend all day long speaking and writing formally and creatively for my work – but prior to this blog I didn’t have an outlet for me – so here it is. This weblog chronicles the good (Loved stuff), the bad (Grumped), when the bad redeems itself (Anti-Grumped) plus a load of other random ramblings including Crumptales (stories both current and remembered).
REASON TWO:
Learning from others
In addition to finding it a great release, it has also opened up a whole new world where I get to interact with other like-minded people – it is excellent and I learn loads as a result. I get comments and emails from amazing people that I value.
REASON THREE:
Explore the concept of a ‘No Refund Culture’
I am passionate about marketing, communications, social media, and branding and how they impact people like you and me. I have a personal interest but also a professional one as I work in the industry. My core belief is that people want to interact with brands that commit to engage for the long term in a No Refund Culture.
So that’s why I’d like you to follow and engage with this blog – I’m going to occasionally rant and rave, tell stories about good stuff and I need your input to explore this further.
