A hardened, and enlightened critic of the shopping experience.

Just like me ;-)

And I agree with you, the store itself, the staff, the design, makes a huge difference to how you feel and if you purchase anything. Now, I don't shop much, but when I do, I want a good experience - relaxed, attentive, interested and enjoyable are words that come to mind.

I had a great experience in the Churchs Leeds store this year, and the guys at Murdocks in Libertys are also superb.

Saying that, the 3 brands of clothes that have taken 90% of the Moss clothing £££ have been bought online:

howies

Rapha (described as Prada for cyclists)

Outlier (the BEST trousers, send all the way from New York)

Rapha and howies pay for your returns, so I have no problem ordering away at the desk on the MacPro.

I'm really trying to get the wardrobe sorted with luxury, quality and technical items, and not too many of them. I've sent bags of clothes to charity this year, and I still need to get ride of some more.

Will go and have a look at Cos now :-)
